According to the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), home fires happen in winter more than any other season.. Heading into the cooler months, The Home Depot is raising awareness with fire safety events through Oct. 31., which also coincides with the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week Oct. 9-15.
