Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has explained the reason why his decision to do music was like beef in the family.
The E ma da mi duro crooner stated this in an interview with Mo Gilligan of Channel4 on the Lateish Show.
According to him, his father was keen on education and business and couldn’t bear his son living without an education.
Davido explained tha his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke would have his show promoters and fans arrested.
He added that anytime his father heard of an event he was to perform at, he would order the police to storm the event and arrest both the organisers of the show and any fan the police could lay their hands on.
He said, “I come from a family where it’s like, education, education, business, so over time my decision to do music was like a beef.
“Any show he [my dad] heard I’m performing at, he sends the police. He arrests the fans, and promoters. He has a camera watching wherever I go to.”
He, however, admitted that his father’s decision stemmed from his absconding from school during the early days of his music career.
