Netflix has dropped the teaser trailer for The Witcher: Blood Origin, the four-part prequel set 1,200 years before Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri in the world of The Witcher, detailing the creation of the first ever Witcher.

Directed by Sarah O’Gorman and Vicky Jewson with showrunner and writer Declan de Barra, the series expands the Witcher universe with Michelle Yeoh as sword master Scían, Sophia Brown and Laurence O’Fuarain as lone warriors Éile and Fjall, Mirren Mack as Princess Merwyn, Lenny Henry as Chief Sage Balor and Minnie Driver as Seanchaí. Meanwhile, Francesca Mills plays Meldof, Zach Wyatt and Lizzie Annis are twins Syndril and Zacaré, and Huw Novelli plays Brother Death.

The Witcher: Blood Origin is streaming on Netflix Dec. 25.
