One thing about Walmart is that it will never pass up a chance to mess with Jeff Bezos’ bottom line.
The big box store is hosting a sitewide « Rollbacks and More » event from Oct. 10 to 13, ushering in some deep discounts across its tech, home, and apparel departments ahead of the holiday season. It’s not explicitly advertised as a response to Amazon‘s Prime Early Access Sale, which ran from Oct. 11 through 12, but that timing is no coincidence. (Walmart previously hosted a Prime Day-style Walmart+ Weekend in June, then offered doorbusters in conjunction with Amazon’s flagship sale in July — we’re seeing a pattern here.)
Amazon’s sale has been hogging the spotlight this week, and perhaps rightfully so: It featured unprecedented deals on big-ticket items like Peloton bikes, souped-up robot vacuums, and an LG C1 OLED TV, which none of its competitors have managed to replicate. But Walmart’s event has two big things going for it:

Those deals are still live through the end of the day — a whole 24 hours beyond the Prime Early Access Sale’s runtime.
