A group of young witches and humans walk through a graveyard. A spectral figure looms behind them.

Disney’s The Owl House returns for its highly anticipated third and final season on Oct. 15, and a new clip from New York Comic-Con reveals that aspiring witch Luz Noceda (Sarah-Nicole Robles) and her friends are still in trouble.

The clip, from « Thanks to Them, » the first of Season 3’s three 44-minute-long specials, picks up following the catastrophic events of the Day of Unity. Luz, Amity (Mae Whitman), Willow (Tati Gabrielle), Gus (Issac Ryan Brown), and Hunter (Zeno Robinson) are hiding away in the Human Realm with Luz’s mother Camila (Elizabeth Grullon). Morale is low, and Luz worries that her friends will turn on her once they realize the role she played in helping Emperor Belos (Matthew Rhys) meet the Collector (Fryda Wolff). Meanwhile, Hunter has worries of his own: How will Amity, Willow, and Gus react when they find out he’s a clone of a witch hunter?

Angst is at an all-time high as our team of heroes try to return to the Demon Realm, but it’s not all doom and gloom: The clip sees Luz and Amity (aka Lumity) share a sweet moment when Luz helps bandage one of Amity’s cuts.

Will Luz and Co. find a way back to the Demon Realm? Will the group’s secrets tear our heroes apart? And is Belos still out there? We’ll just have to tune in to The Owl House to find out for ourselves. Hooty hoot!

The Owl House Season 3 premieres Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. ET on Disney and Disney XD.
