Leave it to Amazon to bless us with not just one, but two massive Prime Day sales in one year. Don’t celebrate for too long, though, because the next one is happening sooner than you think.
Announced on Aug. 8, Amazon has officially set its eyes on October for Prime Day part two (deemed « Prime Big Deal Days » by the retailer). « I’m really excited for Prime members to discover some of Amazon’s best deals of the season across 19 countries, » said CEO of Worldwide Amazon Stores, Doug Herrington, in a LinkedIn post. Those aforementioned countries include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the United States, and the United Kingdom. « We’ll share more details soon as we get closer to the event, » Herrington concluded. « I can’t wait to give our Prime members access to exclusive early savings this season. »
No specific date was mentioned in the post, but if last year’s Prime Day sale sequel is anything to go off of, we can assume that the event will kick off on or around Oct. 11 and last for a full 48 hours. Hopefully you still have some leftover cash from July’s Amazon extravaganza, because we’re thinking Prime Day (October’s Version) is going to be just as good, if not better.
If you missed out on the latest Prime Day, fear not, because retailers like Walmart and Target started their own sales to rival Prime Day. Will they follow suit in just a few short months? We don’t know quite yet, but we wouldn’t be surprised. Whatever happens, be sure to follow Mashable’s expert shopping coverage to keep up to date with all things Prime Day and beyond.
